Cash ISA

Virgin Money Cash ISA

Virgin Money runs three Cash ISAs covering fixed, limited-access and easy-access. The fixed E-ISA pays the highest ISA rate of any provider on this site, but it takes deposits only in the first 30 days and charges for taking money out.

What to check first

  • The fixed E-ISA is fixed to a date, 24 September 2027, rather than for a year from when you open it. Open it late and you get less than a full year at that rate.
  • You can only pay into the fixed E-ISA within 30 days of opening it. After that the account is closed to new money for the rest of the term.
  • Taking money out of the fixed E-ISA is subject to a charge.
  • The Double Take E-ISA allows exactly two withdrawals per calendar year. It is a limited-access account, not an easy-access one.
  • The only ISA here with unrestricted access, the M Access ISA, requires a Virgin Money current account and pays the lowest of the three rates.
  • Virgin Money is now part of Nationwide. Its business transferred on 2 April 2026, and Nationwide states that money across all Nationwide and Virgin Money accounts is covered up to a single £120,000 FSCS limit. If you already hold savings with Nationwide, a Virgin Money ISA adds no extra protection.

A Cash ISA allowance is annual and does not roll over. Read how the providers compare before committing it to one bank.
