Cash ISA

TSB Cash ISA

TSB's fixed-rate Cash ISA pays the same rate across its 18-month, two-year and three-year terms, so the longer locks buy no extra return. Alongside it sits a limited-access ISA where a withdrawal costs you interest for that month, and a Junior Cash ISA.

Before you commit an allowance

What to check first

  • The 18-month, two-year and three-year fixed terms all pay the same rate. There is no reward for tying the money up for longer, so take the shortest term that suits you.
  • On the Save Well Limited Access ISA a withdrawal reduces the interest you earn for that month. It is instant access in name, but using it costs you.
  • The Cash ISA Saver starts from 1.10%, far below TSB's own fixed rate and below most easy-access ISAs elsewhere on the site.
  • TSB says an ISA transfer in takes around 15 days. Start it well before a rate deadline rather than close to one.
  • Never withdraw money yourself to move an ISA. Use the transfer service, or the money loses its tax-free status.

A Cash ISA allowance is annual and does not roll over. Read how the providers compare before committing it to one bank.
