Cash ISA

Co-operative Bank Cash ISA

The Co-operative Bank offers fixed-rate Cash ISAs over one and two years, plus lower-paying variable ISAs. The fixed accounts need £5,000 to open, which rules them out for anyone starting small, and interest is credited annually rather than monthly.

What to check first

  • Both fixed ISAs need £5,000 to open. That is the highest minimum of any Cash ISA on this site and rules them out for a smaller first deposit.
  • Interest is credited annually rather than monthly, so it compounds more slowly than accounts paying monthly at the same headline rate.
  • The Online Cash ISA pays 2.00%, less than half the fixed rate. The gap between Co-operative Bank's own accounts is unusually wide.
  • Co-operative Bank's own ISA product page has previously carried a fixed-rate figure that its rates table contradicted. The interest-rates page is the one to trust — that is the source used here.
  • The fixed rates apply to the ISA launched on 25 August 2026, so check you are being offered the current issue.

A Cash ISA allowance is annual and does not roll over. Read how the providers compare before committing it to one bank.
